The Company was notified on 4 September 2002 that Mr Guenter Nolte, Chief Executive Officer of the Company, had purchased 22,500 Ordinary Shares of the Company ("Ordinary Shares"), at 90p per share each, and 12,300 Ordinary Shares at 88.53p, representing a holding of 0.06 per cent. of the issued share capital.

As a result of this purchase, Mr. Guenter Nolte has a beneficial interest in 34,800 Ordinary Shares representing 0.06 per cent. of the Company's share capital.
